A Religious Painting Turned Into a Pornographic Picture

This painting, “The Virgin Mary Spanking the Child Jesus,” is by Max Ernst, a leader of the Dada movement, which spoofed every aspect of life from politics to marriage (you name it), suggesting that the world is too serious about everything.

In this painting you will see Ernst subtly transforms a religious painting into a pornographic picture! Yup, as you will soon see, a porno picture!

So, let us begin! And for anyone new to the art world, you must always be aware that for all great painters, EVERY STROKE OF THEIR BRUSH IS DONE DELIBERATELY. Nothing is left to chance, nothing!

1. So, at first glance of our picture, the child, Jesus, must have done something bad, as represented by his halo which is on the ground. (See arrow #1)
2. On the top left are three corporate type figures with eyes closed, framed as though in a Christian confessional booth. (See arrow #2)
3. Look at her right arm. It is coming down on the kid like a sledgehammer. He must have been really bad! Here Max Ernst is portraying parental abuse. (See arrow #3)
4. Now for the child. This is noticeably not a young child. He is more like a 10‑12‑year‑old reaching puberty. (See arrow #4)
5. Anatomically, the artist positioned the child on Virgin Mary’s lap so his penis would be right where her vagina is. Ernst makes us ask if this is some kind of sadomasochism trip going on? (See arrow #5)
6. And Max backs this up with the child’s left hand that is easily seen as dis⁠figured, or could it be, the child is having an orgasm. (See arrow #6)
7. Use your fingers and take away the child’s legs as well as the child’s torso and what Ernst is showing us is Virgin Mary’s pubic hair and her vagina. Anyone can easily see that this religious scene has been turned into a pornographic picture.

Be careful sweet angel I implore thee, as you find your way along your journey, as you search for what you need to find, be careful sweet angel for you were born amidst a suffering world that long ago denied its very own pain.

Hydras of contempt were conceived from this denial, a fear of all things mysterious was born, an eruption of projection grew in powerful circles, and the likes of you and those like you, so different in your spontaneity and joy, became inconsequential to their pronouncements.

A darkness intruded with few taking note, wings like yours cursed their routines, your insight made them look upon themselves, their reactions drew dire consequences until even the fundamental ideas you hold sacred were boxed within vaults hidden well beneath the surface.

Be aware of your limitations here for you cannot compete with the bottom tier where smiles and handshakes of sand change with expedient waves, political correctness is the only norm, and the value is the value of winning at any cost.

Such heaviness and possessions impede upon the bliss within your heart, few can hear the melody of your voice, the golden keys you hold cannot unlock the chains of an archaic testament and a fearful exactitude.

Be careful sweet angel I implore thee, for here past and future deny present, confusion is everywhere, the Pharaohs of Egypt who abhorred change still reign, within these vacuums you cannot fly, and the falcon and falconers stand ready and armed to imprison your glory.
